Nov 2016: 3D modelling

The journey starts with BIM in the professional field, but on the personal side, more creative, I start exploring the possibilities of Blender: modular buildings, the animation of a low-poly horse, model rendering, textures, and a large etc.

Dec 2018: 3D apps and simulations with Unity

After lots of practicing, I move on to something more practical. Instead of animations, I'm more interested in the interactivity of simulation environments like Unity 3D.

Some projects show up like (1) a skin preview app for the indie game "Survius"; (2) a rain simulator; and (3) a collab for the UI design of the minigame Coding Idle.

Nov 2019: 3D printing

In 2019 I buy my first (and only) 3D printer: a Creality 3D Ender 3 for starters which I will use to bring my models to life.

Mar 2020: quarantine

Because of the COVID-19 quarantine I adventure in electronics to better understand the IoT that surrounds us everywhere.

Additionally, I join the Maker community to print protection accessories for healthcare professionals during the pandemic.

Apr 2020: Hello Linux!

Because of working from home, I decide to switch to a Linux distro in my personal computer. All I use daily has its open-source equivalent, so I feel like taking part in this community which gives so much for nothing.

Oct 2020: smart home

I finally decide to install some Shelly relays for some lights at home. I chose Shelly because it allows local operation without the need for a third party app.

Nov 2020: HTTP API

I manage to get a Raspberry Pi 4B with 4GB RAM and install a LEMP server to host my first app, programmed to control the lights using local HTTP commands.

I also install this wordpress site to upload my notes privately.

Dec 2020: maps on TV

As part of trials to get rid of [G] Maps, I publish Mapstv as a free map viewer APP for LG smart TVs, using the free javascript library LeafletJS. There was none before this one, so why not throwing the idea out there?

Jul 2021: my maps

Using Leaflet and Travel&Notes plugin, I create a new app hosted in my server where I load all my [G] Maps locations.

👋 ¡Bye [G] Maps!

Feb 2022: my calendars

Next step, using the javascript TOAST UI Calendar library, I host a third app that mimics the popular [G]calendar, so I now have all my events here.

👋 ¡Bye [G] Calendar!

Apr 2022: Siri, don't come back tomorrow

Using the free javascript library annyang in a new app, I program many IoT functions to be controlled using voice commands.

👋 ¡Bye [G] Home!

In fact, I recycle the speaker, connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero W with a Respeaker 2 module, and its own 3D case (WIP).

Jul 2022: hi Twitter! 🐦

Having so many notes, I decide to clean them up and share what I've been learning in small posts of different topics.

This reason brings my Twitter account to life, where I publish blog updates and share useful information mainly on open-source software and security.

Ago 2022: mis notas

In fact, its this blog that makes me discover RichTextEditor, which I use to develop my own notes app, hosted in my server, where I load all the content from [G] Keep.

👋 ¡Bye [G] Keep!

Sep 2022: endleZZ

In a waiting room, with no internet, I start to develop a small entertainment building a .html in the phone's text editor so I could play offline in the browser.

That's how endleZZ is born, an infinite zombie shooter developed purely in javascript.

Nov 2022: IA

Thanks to the Twitter community I find out about the thrilling advances in Artifitial Intelligence and image generation, telling you about Dall·E in this post.

After many months of development and updates, I end up developing an image generation environment which is completely automated and random, and publishes its outputs in Twitter through my bot @ThRoWtrw.

The project launches in 2023 as #PictureTheDAI and it's completely open in github:

Dec 2022: Temps-i 7

After any trials, I finish my intelligent desktop clock project: Temps-i 7. I tell you all about it in this post and you have the open code in github.

Oct 2023: ownCloud

Today it's mandatory to have a hard-disk where to store all your files (pictures, documents that you generate throughtout your life). When buying a new SSD for this purpose I turn it into a local cloud using ownCloud so I can be accessed from any of my devices. Absolutely recommended!!

The adventure continues...

Maintaining the blog has brought up many new projects that I will be sharing, so stay tuned and decide to start your own journey!
